If you havent yet heard, this is TJ Lane. He is a 17 year old kid living in Ohio. Yesterday he walked into Chardon High School shooting, and ultimately killing, 3 different students.
These types of tragedies are always the hardest for me to hear about because people can’t ever really see it coming. There are always sad, lonely kids. It is such a unclear and experimental period of people’s lives, it is sometimes difficult to discern which kids are the ones who are at their breaking point.
I once got to listen to a speaker who was a survivor of the Columbine shootings, and it is one of the scariest thing I have ever heard. I can’t stand the idea of high school children having to react to a situation like this. Those kids were my brothers age.
It’s a shame that situations like these seem to be getting more and more frequent. And there is no black and white solution to preventing things like this from happening in the future.
It is just so sad.
